I've never been a massive fan of Mortal Kombat but this is the best 2D fighting game on XBLA to date!

With the disappointment of Street Fighter I wasn’t expecting a lot from this but it is good fun but largely under appreciated by reviewers. Yes, there is a few problems- the difficulty level is unforgiving and all the combos feel sort of the same but the real strength is online play where it will thrive. Another help is the new local multiplayer with 8 player tournaments. This stops the often brutal fatalities being a one trick pony. If you loved all the MK games this will be another good addiction to the series, if you were disappointed with Street Fighter this is worth a look but if you hate 2D fighting games this will fail to win you over as it does suffer from the repetitiveness of every fighting game.
