As soon as you gain control of Arthur and you hear that classic Ghosts 'n Goblins tune, it all comes back to you. If you played the original, then you owe it to yourself to play Ultimate Ghosts n' Goblins. It's still extremely difficult. Be prepared to die. A lot. But that just makes it that much more satisfying when you do pass a level. The new features of re-spawning on the spot and the ability to save do make it more of a tolerable experience. Being forced to replay the levels more than once to find enough gold rings to unlock the final boss didn't bother me. Even though it was just an obvious ploy to add depth to a rather shallow game. Once you had the abilities to fully explore the levels you realize there was a lot you couldn't get to before. Even with three difficulties I don't see that much replay before it gets old. Just finishing on novice without finding all the gold rings was enough for me.
