A gift to all royal Twisted Metal fans.

User Rating: 8.5 | Twisted Metal: Head-On - Extra Twisted Edition PS2
Since 1995 the Twisted Metal franchise has been the king of the car combat genre, despite a couple bumps. And now, after seven years of not having any console releases , the series has returned. The main core of this package is still Head-On, the PSP launch game released back in 2005. And has made minor improvements to it, don't get me wrong, the game is still great, but little was done to it. One level was added, Transylvania Castle, which fits the Twisted Metal style well. And the graphics were only slightly improved, but, lets face it, its 2008 and a PS2 game today can look way better than the game looks. The frame rate works pretty well, except every once in a while after a song ends it doesn't repeat, which can be annoying, but its a minor let down. Besides Head-On, this game comes packaged with all kinds of goodies for Twisted Metal fans. It comes with an Twisted Metal art book, with a code for a free download of the "Twisted Metal Symphony", which includes songs from Twisted Metal, Twisted Metal 2, Twisted Metal: Black, and Twisted Metal: Head-On. An unfinished walk though level you play though as Sweet Tooth, the unreleased ending movies of Twisted Metal. A 30 minute documentary of the Twisted Metal series, and to top it all off, 4 unreleased levels from the never released sequel to Twisted Metal: Black, called the Lost Levels. With all the Twisted Metal: Black characters there, plus two more unlock-able ones, 12-Pak, and Gold Tooth. The Twisted Metal: Black levels look better than the Head-On levels, but they still could look a lot better. Something I noticed about the game play in the Lost Levels is that it seems a bit easier than Twisted Metal: Black did it self, which is a bit noticed. Those who liked the difficulty of Black can still play it, just switch it up to hard, and it feels like Black's normal difficulty. This is quite the package, if you've been playing Twisted Metal for years, this is for you, even if you already have Head-On for the PSP, this is a package you won't want to miss, especially when it only cost $20 for all this.
