What can I say about Turok: Dinosaur Hunter what I can say is that it's one of the most innovative games ever made and that it's one of the best games in the N64 line up. CAMPAIGN: The story isn't that rich, to be honest it's very simple, stop the Campaigner from destroying the world. It sounds not that great but the levels, gameplay, enemy A.I.(although all aged) rhythm, pacing and score all ad up to an experience that you just don't get in games back then or now and to be honest Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is one of my top most beloved games ever made because of these reasons alone and because it does them so well in terms of deliverance and atmosphere. And lets not forget about how innovative it was for its time, other than the pc you just didn't see this kind of game done so well on a console nor did you see a first person shooter that wasn't Doom work so well on a console other than the pc, and not to mention for how old it is to not have any hick ups or slowdown that's amazing. Its just a shame that Dinosaur Hunter doesn't get the credit it deserves for all the stuff it did for console gaming, sadly that credit goes to Halo because Halo did those things better and wasn't over shadowed by bad follow ups, (that's probably the reason its innovations were forgotten). Overall an outstanding, unforgettable and haunting game that's one of the greatest ever made.
