A Great Story, Destroyed By Mediocre Gameplay That Made Me Almost Weep

User Rating: 1.5 | Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (Collector's Edition) X360
I actually rented Turning Point, the day after its release from a local video store and looked forward to it. From the story premise, and general idea behind it and upon paying out to rent it. I regretted all the time I put in for its wait, once I put the disk in. Firstly the gameplay reminds me of pre-2000 FPS games, its too clunky and slow. Graphics didn't help either, again reminded me of old FPS games, pixels were almost cubed and quite appaling.

Weapons, enemies and kills were quite pathetic. For a game that had so much promise, its quite frustrating that it never even passed the bar of at least acceptable. As I played Turning Point I immediately took solace in the fact I never paid out full retail price to purchase it, and happy I only lost a few pounds renting it.
Codemasters, with its both past and present titles I was expecting more from them with Turning Point.

The Good:

- The story is fun, until the first moment of gameplay begins.

The Bad:

- Awful gameplay, pure frustration.
- Graphics are many years out of date.
- Weapons, enemies and equipment are miserably imagined.
- You feel like you've been cheated out of your hard earned cash.

I would avoid this game like the plague, its a waste of money even if you can now find it pre-owned.
