A good alternative to the GTA games, with even more and varied weapons and cop action.
TC: NYC is a great alternative to the GTA games, if you´re tired of playing San Andreas, i recomend this.
Marcus, the protagonist, is a gang member (if i remeber it right) who almost sees his prents get killed after one of his homies, Kev-Lar, sends some guys to do it. Marcus kills them and then he confronts Kev-Lar killing everybody in his house (you get to play this part), a detective who knows Marcus witnesses it, but lets him go and some years later Marcus joins the NYPD and the real gameplay starts when Marcus is about to become a detective.(i know it seems lame the way im telling it.)
The graphics are good, i love those reflections on the grond by night.
gameplay is waht you wold see on a GTA game, but "True-Crimed", theres only one MAJOR bug, wich makes you reset the game, and some minor ones. great selection of weapons, you cn buy cars and clothes but you can only buy full costumes like Casual, Hip-Hop, etc... You get 4 cases to beat and then the final missions, also some side missions if i recall it right, street races, you get to arrest any person you want, legally or illegaly, check trunks, etc... If you create chaos and the cops get ya, you´re gonna be on your uniform again, and have to solve crimes to get outta your punishment, but you can also solve these minor crimes like assaults, street fights and other common stuff while a detective. But the game is a bit short
If i remeber it right, the music is mostly hip hop, but theres more.
overall its a fun game with a lot of free roaming and crime solving/bad cop action. A good GTA altenative
