Its a mix bag of good and bads, the transforming on the fly is really neat and gratifying, the design/graphics of the Transformers are great. The fighting at first seems great too however, once you realize that your actual attacks are absolutely worthless except against the very weakest of enemies, other wise you are forced to run around and find things to throw at the big guys to knock them down and peck away health. The feeling of the vehicles is atrocious, and the physics are at times laughable, cars and heavy trucks you smash into fly around like rag dolls yet a tiny bit of debris in the road is enough to be a real pain in the ass and at points stop you totally. Some of the timed missions are just plain NOT FUN AT ALL, annoying and feel like a hurdle you have to get over just to keep getting on with the game. It can be fun though to run around as a big robot, and climb up buildings and smash stuff, but its nothing to write home about. It always makes me wonder, why do they go into all the effort to make a game and then just piss it all away with mediocrity, it coulda been great, but now its gonna be forgotten in a month.
Oh one more thing, the sound effects are so weak, i mean REALLY REALLY WEAK, its not gratifying at all to fire your weapons and they just seem like pea shooters, horrible.
Look for it in a bargain bin in about 3 weeks for 15 bux.
