The multiplayer and extras are almost able to support the lacking singleplayer experience.

I love the transformers series, big vehicles turning into huge robots that fight each other is a great premise and this game almost delivers. Lets start with the good, the multiplayer, the usual affair of deathmatch, kill the leader, etc. are here but the combo of cars and robots really change it up, the melee and the gunplay work really well together you can seamlessly switch between either one. You usally are playing runaway though since the tiny swift cars are just as strong as the big hulkey ones, infact bumblebee is the best character(M-16 of the transformers). The maps though are very well boring, only a few are good but they are still forgetable, and there are some you hope will never ever come up. Even with all this I still spent hours on multiplayer. The singleplayer though is very boring, you find yourself doing the same pointless tasks every time go drive and kill these people, kidnap or rescue these people. Also the AI is terrible their aim is never on target and they never strafe or find cover, the boss fights are not even close to a challenge, they have the same AI as described early but they have more health. By the way the decepticon campaign is 100 times more pointless then the autobots, if you rent do the autobots. The extras are the saving grace, you can unlock old episodes(which I love) and new skins, nut it cant save the single player. I would only suggest this as a rent, but i would skip the singleplayer and move straight to the multiplayer which can provide a few hours of fun.
