Devastation has two things going for it: An amazing aesthetic that will appeal to any child of the 70's, and satisfying combat through the mix of melee, medium and long range attacks.
The former immediately grabs your attention and never really lets go. Which is a good thing, because the environments you play in, and what you have to do to get to the fun combat is mediocre at best, and comprises almost half of the game.
HaWithout the Transformers license brought to life with such great penache by Platinum Games, this game would be below average and not much worth your time, because of games like Bayonetta and DMC that are much better games overall.
