Bringing those 80's & 90's memory in a form of toy box destruction
TS: Cold war however is an easier version and slightly action-oriented than the original Toy soldiers. The game has been tone down, added 'Rewind wave', 'barrages' aka killstreaks, lesser 'boss' stages, and of course the weapons are a lot deadly with secondary fire. barrages are awarded for filling up a power indicator by destroy enemies and they reward players with B52 airstrike, nuclear strike, arty strike, and finally my favorite "rambo" action figure which is delivered in an actionfigure plastic wrapped up box and is airdrop into the battlefield. It could literally massacre anyone in your way while yelling Sylvester Stallone punchup line that will wip a smile on your face.
Some slight changes are the Ais, enemy units have a tendency of destroying your turrets, ai controlled turrets arent so effective. RTS element are lessen and more action oriented expecially in MP.
The worst disappointment, Signal studios DID NOT include SOVIETS campaign, which explains that why this game is shorter than the original.
on top of the campaign offered, TS:CW offers 5 minigames and 1 of the minigames CAS its rather familiar to MW2 gunship stage and its extremely satisfying with leaderboard for players in XBL to compete for the highest ranking. Making a slightly better worth.
Signal Studios designed this game to be arcade, fun and funny that could easy be enjoyed by everyone and they are doing a great job. I could recommend this game to anyone, but dont expect too much out of it.
