Just started playing it. It is beautiful visually, and deep, but there are a couple of features the lack of which disappoint. The naval system seems a bit limited. While acknowledging that at the time Japan was *not* a place for great naval battles, still, I was hoping for at least the ability to make it all a little more important and fun. I also miss the ability to enter and fight into and out of buildings, as in Empire. I would have loved having the ability to fight a castle battle WITHIN the castle itself. This would have made increasing the levels of and improving the strength of your castles much more important, and it would have made the prospect of assaulting an advanced enemy fortress nightmarish, forcing you to come up with creative alternatives both for the battles and for the whole campaign. I do like the return of agent movies, but if you are going to include such brutal footage, why not also include a seppuku movie as well? Perhaps in the expansion...
