I have the limited edition on cd, I was worried based on the reviews that I would face long load times and ctd constantly. I got home from work and checked the steam forums , only to get more nervous. I installed and got through the cd's to be faced with an install starting at 97% and downloading at 65kb/s. Gulp, finally it installed. Started the game and waited and waited for the launch screen, finally it loaded. I went first to options and changed everything to max. One thing I noticed, could not change the antialaising, no response even though it was highlighted and not greyed out. Another thing, could not set shader model above 3 high; 4 and up greyed out. Oh well, launched the campaign and OMG. Incrediably gorgeous! Played the Shimuzou clan on the far west of game, medium difficulty. It's now 10 hours later and I have to sleep, but had to get on here to say - what a gem! No crashes, no long load times, controls are perfect, scrolling is fast and smooth with many units (set to large) ,just amazing. This is the most enjoyable game I have played in years. For those with problems, I feel for you, but look at your hardware before trying to convince people there is something wrong because there ain't. It's perfect! i7950 ati 5970 (have two but disabled crossfire) 12 gig ram
Sorry for the people who can't run it, it because you can't afford it I'm afraid
