It is a great game. I bought it for me and a friend of mine so we can play coop but...
It becomes out of sync meaning your troops and your ally troops tend to be in different locations and you don't play the same game.
There is no official fix for this and this issue, from what I understand is since Shogun 2. So after 70 turns we cannot play because my friend moved some ships but they are not moved on my screen and the AI attacks his ships on my screen but not on his so there is no way for that battle to engage.
Or he attacks a province auto-resolves and for me on the map that battle never finishes.
In single player and Avatar mode seems awesome but I bought the game to play coop campaign and I am rather disappointed.
I hope they will try to fix this and stop making more DLCs.
Note: I never had an issue in a battle (RTS mode) so @ least that works. And I heard (for technical people) you can try to create a VPN network between you and your friend. And then create a coop campaign over Lan fixes the issue (this is not confirmed by me, didn't try yet).
Note2: Some people say you can "fix" the desync issue by sending your savegame file to the other party but the desync occurs again in 3 turns.
Last Thoughts.
- Because of the terrible long loading times I can not make casual play in this game. Loading times tends to be ridiculous.
- In avatar mode you get matched with level 70 generals when you are level 0 so imagine the fun you are going to have. The only way to avoid this is to join/create custom games.
- Graphics are awesome for a strategy game of this magnitude.
- Music is awesome and helps you feel the game.
- There are very few crash to desktop. I had 1 in 40 hours of play.

- If they ever fix the coop campaign for me this game will get to level 9.
- If they manage to reduce the loading time it's a clear 10.
