I personally found Gamespots review to be rather poor and to optimistic towards a half baked game.. This latest release from CA has been shipped broken, unfinished and unpolished. Reviewers should be a lot harsher on this and not look through the problems at the core game. Bugs, bugs, game issues, AI issues and generally poor performance when compared to Shogun 2 which looks and runs a lot lot better. Wait until the devs fix it before you throw your gaming dollar at it. If you must have it, at its core this is still a good game. I've had some fun with it, a few great battles and multiplayer fights. I just keep thinking it could have been so much better if a little more polish was thrown at it....
Also seen how Darthvader is no longer supporting CA games its unlikely to improve much... Part of me also thinks the original Rome is still superior to CA's latest release. It runs better, has less issues and graphically (with updates) its not that much inferior to this. The battles are also more satisfying.
