Torchlight 2 is in many ways the spiritual successor to Diablo 2. It has kept what worked and refined what didn't and to that added a whole lot more. It is no surprise then that the minds behind the Torchlight series are the Schaefer brothers from past Diablo fame.

What you get with Torchlight 2 is true randomization in everything from dungeons, to weather, and overworld. No playthrough is ever the same. The brilliant music of Matt Uelmen which brings an absolutely amazing atmosphere to the game. Couple this with a story that knows not to take itself seriously and you have an instant winner.

The game has had a ton of content patches and bug fixes making it more stable and content filled than AAA budget titles such as Diablo 3. And with the inclusion of Steam workshop support, has seen fantastic mods appear that add even more content.

Overall this is the best ARPG for the money, and is a testament to the old saying: "If it ain't broken, don't fix it!"
