Good but not great. Definitley not a 9.0. I'm play tennis, not as realistic as they said. Falls short.

If you're bored of playing Top Spin 3, then this is better than Virtua by a long shot. It is better than TS3, but in a lot of ways, doesn't live up to the hype. !st off, the most realistic tennis game ever, probably not. That's just a marketing technique, and speaking as a tennis player, it's not that realistic.
One area where they failed was variety. A limited number of clothes, rackets, playing styles for your created player, and more, take away from the enjoyment; mostly because TS3 had more variety. The created mode is better because you have coaches that will boost attributes, however, you can no longer customize individual attributes. Instead, they group them into three catagories: Offensive Baseline, Defensive Baseline, & Serve & Volley. Rather than add points to say, forehand, serve, stamina, and volley, you can only chose a group. This makes it very hard for your player to be really good at one thing; if you do that, you sacrifice being an all around player.
Another screwup was the roster, they told you 25 players, what they didn't say that was a combined 25 players. What they need to do is keep the legends and add the top 20 in mens & womens. As for gameplay, you have timing helpers, which are a great asset, and the overall atmosphere itself is what's realistic, not the actual gameplay. The control system is different and once mastered is very easy and fun to use.
The final drawback, is that it's too easy. I play on Hard most of the time and Very Hard isn't much difficult either, it's just makes the matches longer and more frustrating with the same outcome of winning. All in all, it's always dissapointing to see when the TS series has 2-3 to make a game and still has the average quality in comparrison, with Madden who only has a year.
