I am all for female empowerment, but this is not, and I repeat not, the lara croft I remember. This is a shadow of her. This Lara seems to be way over her head in this so called realistic/gritty adventure.
It made me sick to the stomach to force her to endure these kind of brutal encounters with nature and mans' greed. If I was to say that the whole experience was no fun at all and all a bit too graphic it would be an understatement.
I just don't enjoy watching a woman suffer, whatever 'noble cause' there is to be proclaimed.
I'm just not like that and I am even willing to go as far as to say that this game is a throwback as far as female lead characters in games go.
In short, I find this game ironically more female degrading than the lara games with the so called overinflated bodyparts.
