Although it was amazing for its time, you may want to play the remake unless you are a Tomb Raider completist.

User Rating: 7 | Tomb Raiders (PSOne Books) PS
Intro: Initially released in 1996, this was one of the first games that put the Playstition console on the map as a seriously powerful console as well as a formidable opponent to the N64 but this game has not aged well visually nor control-wise.

Visuals: As this game is nearly 15 years old as of this writing, this visuals do look dated for obvious reasons. It is hard to hold this against the game though as its intended audiences were generally pleases 15 years ago.

Controls: Ultimatly, this game controls much like the original 5 in the series where they can be really fun if you get used tot hem but at times, they are very unforgiving although to a much less degree than the 3rd installment

Sound: This game sounds as old as it looks, which is forgivable but dont expect music anywhere enar on par with others in the series like Underworld or Angel of Darkness

Final Word: Althoguh this game was revolutionary, it has not aged well in most respects. The story is very enjoyable but unless you are trying to beat every game in the franchise, I recommend picking up the Anniversary edition, peticularly in the trilogy pack for PS3 as it looks particularly beautiful
