OK so I've logged 74hours so far figured I'd write a review. Level 30 / 30 DarkZone.
This game is highly addictive and is very comparable to Destiny in several ways. Especially the armor and guns the way they level up, color scheme for item quality and add assigning different attributes. Strike missions are comparable to matchmaking but more depth available in this game.
Controls and graphics are very impressive. It may not visually look as good as Destiny or Battlefront but still decent. The cover system works really well very comparable to R6:Vegas or Gears. Sometimes it can feel clumsy when your doing something like reviving a teammate and your character breaks cover and u get shot at. Although I have experienced several glitches falling thru the floor, getting stuck and not being able to move etc...
Matchmaking works excellent especially when it comes to DarkZone and Challenging missions. Groups you with players around your level so it feels somewhat balanced.
Onto the only multiplayer pvp area... The Darkzone. I have mixed feelings about this area. Going in alone 85% of the time is almost a death wish especially if your looting AI and trying to extract items and you get murdered by Rogues. I've teamed up with random players in a group and have been kicked. So players kill you and take your stuff. It has it's cheap moments but always keeps you on your toes. A lot of players hate this area I've met and stick to the daily missions. I prefer the missions as well.
AI is hit and miss. Challenging missions are best for getting a chance for those lvl 31 items you can only find here, specialized shops, or rare drops in DZ area. They can be super tiresome and annoying. Enemies are such bullet sponges it kinda takes the fun outta it. Especially the SHOTGUN AI! They can kill you in one hit being 30-80 feet away! They need to change this it's really annoying. Also Enemy types are VERY recycled. They need to add at least more boss/elite enemy variety. Not much here.
So this game isn't perfect but I have it a 9. It's just so much fun and it keeps me coming back for more. I've also met several friends online and lots of people use mics. Really cool since people in most games don't talk but this encourages team work and a little preparation. Hoping with DLC content coming they fix and add more to the game. It has a lot of potential to be a 10.
