The game has some great stealth action gameplay, the same as in the previous games on PC, PS2 e.t.c. , and the where great and very addictive, just like this portable version. If you have a Playstation portable, this is a must have!
The bad: Unfortunately the developers of Splinter Cell Essentials had (like everyone developing for the psp) a huge problem with the controls... They did their best and configured them pretty good.. except for the camera, you have to press circle and use the analoge stick at the same time to steer the camera, but you also walk with the analoge stick.. so every time the camera angle is ****, you have to stand still and take your time to adjust the camera, which is pretty annoying and hard in when under fire... Also, There's a good amaunt of levels literally ripped of from the previous Splinter Cell games so it feels like you have to do all the work all over again.
Sorry guys.. there's just one tiny thing that's bothering me about this game: some levels are so dark you have to use the night vision... Some of you will say: cool! what's wrong with that?.. well.. the nightvision is totally crappy. everything will turn in almost the same green, so you don't see where it's dark or where it's light.. because of that you very often walk into the light without knowing it, which will cause detection or, in the worst case, death.
oh, and the sound is a bit crappy sometimes.

well, don't make any conclusions about the game because of al the bad things I wrote, they're not that bad as they seem..
I think this is a very good game with al the good of it's big console predecessors.. Many people find this game a waste of time, but there are also many people who think this is a good game. So, be sure what category you fit in before buying, becouse it wil be a waste of money if you don't like it..
