Interesting story, good gameplay, and an open-ending all leave you wanting more of this spy-action thriller. SC5 anyone?
Overall, the gameplay is still tensely enjoyable. I hold my breath while waiting for an enemy to come at me for a knockout punch and before taking a risky head shot with my sniper. Fisher also has the recognizable Chaos Theory arsenal of moves, including some new ones (such as my favorite - the plunge maneuver), as well as single-player partner moves similar to co-op play.
The choice-making system is also fun, especially since it does somewhat affect the gameplay, but it seems ultimately superficial, made to make the user feel immersed, in control of some outcome.
Nevertheless, the conclusion to this game is scripted such that no matter what choices you make it is always the same, except for the newscast that plays over the top of the ending credits.
But if you've played previous renditions of the Fisher saga, this game adds a little more depth, better scripting, good acting, and a lot of replay value. It also looks similar to Chaos Theory, except in spots it seems to surpass it, such as the Iceland mission and the CG movies, which look incredibly lifelike. Also, the game feels more like a movie in its presentation, and the surround sound adds even more realism and excitement to the experience.
Also, if you're wondering, the regular Xbox version DOES support 480p. On the box it's greyed out, but it's there. Happy gaming!
