User Rating: 9.5 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory PS2
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory's graphics are excellent but could have used a little work. From the moment players start playing they get a taste of what the game is capable of and this continues throughout the game. Character models look very good and have a good amount of detail and depth to them. However the enemies for each area look the same to some degree. The weapon models look very good and believable but look a little flat when using night vision.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory's locations look fantastic. Each location looks like it should and there is great attention to detail. Walls with bricks have a real brick look to them and players can almost see each individual brick in a fair amount of detail. Furthermore is that each location has various objects that match the location quite well and don't feel out of place. The levels themselves aren't too long or too short. They feel just right in length and time that is needed to complete each one.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory's gameplay is fantastic as it brings in some new and useful features. The new features are shoulder changing, pistol now has a way to disable lights, the rifle now as a few attachments and Sam can now use a knife. Each of these new features works really well and helps add to the games divisiveness. One of the most interesting changes to the gameplay is that it no longer takes to whacks of Sam's elbow to knock out an opponent. This has been replaced with two types of attacks, lethal and non-lethal. With the lethal attack Sam will use his knife to kill an opponent and with a non-lethal attack Sam will just his opponent really hard with either his palm or knee.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory's audio is good but does have one issue. The issue is with alarms and whenever players trigger an alarm players will hear Lambert come on and tell them to keep it quiet and so forth. This wouldn't be so bad if Lambert didn't keep reminding players of this every so often but unfortunately he does do this from time to time. The enemies' voices are pretty diverse but will occasionally sound the same for a particular area. Finally Lambert and Grim are voiced by the same people the voiced them in the first game.

Overall Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is great game that is easily recommendable to those who are a fan of the stealth action genera.
