This is a beautiful game in almost every way. The graphics and art direction to the gritty realism and Sam's out of place humor. The story is fairly solid and keeps the player engaged, but not nearly as well as the gameplay does. Chaos Theory adds a multitude of new elements to the tried and true franchise. The ability to save at any time is welcomed, so that one does not have to play the same parts over and over until one reached the next check point, like in the previous two installments. Playing through Chaos Theory really helped me appreciate Double Agent (the most current game in the series) even more by remembering how cool it was to play both sides while maintaining neutrality. All in all, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is a massive improvement over the first games and laid the foundation for the fantastic Double Agent game. Bring on Splinter Cell: Convictions!
