My first stealth game - the Solid Snake killer.

User Rating: 9.5 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory PC
Foreword: So, for the beginning I would like to say, that I don't like stealth-action games. I have never liked them. For example. People love Thief series, but I cant find that gem hidden in the game. This game changed my thoughts. One day, I just ran to my local game-store and thought: "Why not to break your opinion and actually try it!"As I booted the game I was ready for my hate to come true. It didn`t.

Bottom line: The game is well-polished fun, fun game. You wont be disappointed.

Gameplay: A-w-e-s-o-m-e! It`s so good you wont believe that you are playing. It feels like you ARE the legendary Sam Fisher. The game is easy to learn, but hard to master. You are supposed to walk-through all level WITHOUT killing anyone (except when you actually are supposed to. Of course its all fine and dandy, you can kill, but you won`t get that darned 100%). Most of the time you will be in the dark and sneaking around your foes. There are various objects you can interact with. For example. The enemy is coming to your direction, you take the bottle right next to you and you can throw it in whatever direction to distract the enemy. Voila. The path to victory is open. The coolest gadget is the OCP attached to your pistol. Just one right-click on a surveillance camera or light source and it magically turns of (or malfunctions) for a short period of time. Of course there is the hacking. You can hack many electronic devices from computers, laptops to door keycode thingies (can`t remember the name, sorry). There is many, many interesting gameplay aspects in the game, but I wont give it all to you. After all I`m writing this to interest you, not to ruin the game. Besides, many things are same as in other SC games.

Story: There isn`t much about the story if you aren`t a diehard Sam fan. Of course the story IS THERE, but I didn`t put much interest in it.

Video, Visuals, Graphics: Impressive. But no eye-candy. You are sneaking around IN DARKNESS and NIGHT VISION = much green.

Audio: Awesome, but sometimes I turned the music off for the sake of gameplay. The actual thing that I liked is the awesome voice-cast. I just love Sam`s "tuff" comments (mostly about his age). Not even talking about Grimsdottir.

Conclusion: A must-have for every gamer even if you don`t like stealth-action games like me.
