An awesome game which allows you to think out of the box:-)

I was looking forward to Blacklist ever since i got hooked on the previous editions of splinter cells in the series, they were just as good but this latest edition is the best by far.

the game starts off with you having to escape a terrorist attack on a base and from the onset the game teaches that stealth is really important to getting somewhere in the game, sticking to shadows also makes a huge difference, it took me quite a while to finally get through this preliminary mission, but it was worth it. The game only really started thereafter.

at this point you are transported to your headquarters which is actually a huge plane called the Paladin kinda like a military style Boeing, here you are introduced to three other special ops crew member each with their own talents and disciplines. In the paladin you can complete missions and upgrade the plane as well as your equipment. There are plenty of upgrades that can be bought and equipped. There are also co-op missions which allow you and a friend to complete missions which really are awesome.

in terms of game play they are absolutely brilliant, the environments are very realistic and the AI is really great, the response to actions in the game are as it would happen in really life for example don't leave a body lying around because they come looking for the missing guy and if they find the body the alarm is raised. The ability to use different gadgets for different situations is brilliant.
This is where the game allows you take multiple paths to reach your objective, and there is no wrong or right way of doing things in the game.
The only down side i have come across is the weapons and saving your progress. in most cases if you are going the stealth route you probably only going to use your silenced pistol so all the other weapons don end up having much of a use for you unless the alarm is raised and you have to shoot your way out(not advisable). Saving you progress cannot be done at any point during a mission you have to complete up to a certain checkpoint and if you don complete the mission then you would have to start from the begging when you restart the game.
I totally disagree with the comment that the game is too short, trust me if you try to do things the stealth way you will find yourself with plenty of hours of game time.
All in all the game is absolutely brilliant, the graphics are good the environments are realistic and the gameplay is the best I've seen in the series, it's a must have!
