Now that Ubisoft has put a good amount of effort into fixing the server issues and has shown that they have continued plans to support this game for years to come, there's really nothing that's stopping this game from becoming as big as a CS:GO. The destructable enviroments and their relationship to how teams operate is incredible and allows for creativity and improvisation. Each operator is useful in their own way and the balancing is done almost to perfection. The development team put a lot of effort into making an innovative team-based tactical shooter and it shows. The strategic depth involved, the optimized visuals and sounds, and the good community put this title in a league of its own. I am addicted and can't wait to see what the future holds for this title. I wouldn't be surprised if R6S ends up showing its face in eSports sooner rather than later.
