An awesome game that has an amazing and well thought out campaign but very dissapointing and ill-conceived multiplayer.

Overall this is a really great game. The campaign, while slightly easier than the previous installment, is absolutely amazing in the fact that it doesn't stray far from GRAW 1's style, but adds a lot of fresh ideas. There is also a major improvement in the graphics, especially dust and smoke effects. Sometimes you'll want to just stop and stare at dust billowing because it looks so real. Another improvement is the sheer number of weapons available to you. The new secondary weapons are actually useful this time around, especially when you find yourself in close quarters.

On to the multiplayer. Overall it doesn't seem like Ubisoft put a lot time or dedication into it, which is really a shame considering the potential it had. Instead, it looks more like something they just threw in to "complete" the game. There are many signs of poor design, the first being a terrible spawn system. Each team is given a "spawn area" that consists of only three spawn points per team and is easily accessed by the opposition. This leads to countless match losses due to spawn killing.

Each map has hundreds (yes, hundreds) of camping locations. It almost seems like the designers threw together the maps focusing only on aesthetics and heavily ignoring gameplay, e.g. all the random shacks that, while look nice, provide perfect hiding spots. This is not to say that the multiplayer side has good graphics. They are sub-par and grainy compared to the campaign.

To sum up this review I would say that if you're looking for a great tactical shooter then this game, with its superb campaign and amazing gameplay is definitely worth a look, however the multiplayer will probably leave you disappointed and wanting more.
