Fantastic game but not as good as the first ruined by bad matchmaking

User Rating: 9 | Titanfall 2 PC

Well I'm late to the party having bought this game 1 year after release on discount for £12. I'm not surprised it is so heavily discounted as there is hardly anyone playing it. Multiplayer has the awful matchmaking system but every time I goto play due to lack of players its always a 10 minute wait for a game to be found so I always end up logging out and going and playing something else. The matchmaking is really bad and the server times out or disconnects all the time.

Other than that it is much the same as the first game but with new maps (which are pretty good). Some of the maps are just slight revamps which is disappointing. There's not much improvement on the graphics (although the gfx are still great) other than more nicely laid out fonts etc and better status announcer, however there is no customisation available for the titans which is a major drawback - you simply get 6 pre-set titans and its hard to decipher what their skills actually do, Whereas in TF1 the Titans were all fully customisable.

Single player is fantastic and the campaign is very much fun - one of the best single player campaigns I've ever played, with lots of excitement and wtf moments. It has a lot of parkour and jumping puzzles which can be frustrating but not massively difficult and certainly easier then the jumping puzzles in tomb raider. Single player is massive fun and takes around 10 hours or so to complete.

Stability is good with no crashes or glitches and I get 115-145fps.

Overall it is a good game with great graphics but the devs have made it overly complicated and confusing due to awful menus. Titanfall 1 was much better which still has loads of players.

This game could have been perfect if it had simpler menus and a server browser instead of matchmaking.
