I am looking for an IP address for one of the St. Louis servers. My intent is to use that IP address to determine what ASN (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_system_(Internet)) the server is on. Once I have that, I will approach them about joining the Internet exchange in St. Louis. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_exchange_point)
I understand that some may be skeptical of my intentions. If you wish to somewhat anonymize the IP address, you can lookup the ASN yourself here: http://bgp.he.net/ If you doubt my credentials, you can send the information you find to the contact on this page:https://www.peeringdb.com/ix/1519
Why am I trying to do this? Well, A) I'll get to sell them something, but also B) getting them peered on the Internet exchange will reduce the latency for players on other networks on the IX and C) I'm working on a blog post about the benefits of Internet exchanges to the online gaming community. Having some raw data for that would be nice.
One of our local partners noticed his son playing Titanfall 2 and that despite living in St. Louis, the St. Louis servers didn't have the lowest latency. I'd like to fix that. https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s552x414/16195650_10154224312443045_3402704030855621818_n.jpg?oh=dbdbec8a4487e1730a5ceb7a7a98a69a&oe=5991F3A4
I will attempt to help some of you determine what the IP address is, though obviously I prefer to not do that if some know what to do.
