A very simple and cute point-and-click adventure good for an hour and a half of relaxed gaming.

This is a Humble Original title that has since seen release on Steam (and perhaps elsewhere). I don't regret my time spent on it but it would be very hard to recommend at an 8$ price tag.

You begin in a desolate land viewing a pitiful scene of listless alien humanoids all with some sort of wispy smoke streaming out of their heads. As the camera pans along these trails of smoke you see at their far end shadowy hands dropping shadowy envelopes down a chasm. Cut to the bottom of the chasm and you see a cute little cyclops creature in a yellow rain coat sleeping with a pile of mail and satchel nearby. As this adorable being wakes they gather the mail and then you are off.

The game wordlessly tells its tale as you deliver these 13 pieces of mail. Some very basic puzzles must be solved in order to reach some recipients or to convince others to accept their parcel. None are more than 2 to 3 steps long and can be solved with what's in the immediate area. The gameplay will not challenge any but the youngest of players.

Finding meaning in the scenes that play out as you deliver your mail is one stimulating aspect. Each creature seems to have a sleeping spirit within them that is tied to an element of nature. Each envelope contains a shadow hand that snaps its fingers to awaken these beings of power. The sound design of each of these short cutscenes did a good job suggesting what each creature lords over.

Both visual and musical art styles within the game are simplistic yet endearing. There isn't much detail within the visuals and the soundtrack is similarly relaxed. But that's a big part of Tiny Echo's charm. You can let yourself go and enjoy your brief time in this otherworldly place all with a soft smile on your face.
