A great shooter from Namco that's perfect for parties, and great on single player.

User Rating: 8.1 | Time Crisis 3 (w/GunCon2) PS2
Time Crisis 3 is the best light gun action you will find on the PS2. The story in this game isn't so great which is to be expected, but the action is top notch. Single player is fun, but co-op is of course even better. The character designs look great as do the enemies. The bosses look cool and each on is different. As for the settings they look very nice and compliment the game well The voice-overs are decent and the premise is decent. In the game your task will be to stop a terrorist from launching nuclear weapons. The opening scene is short and you are immediately placed in the battle. There are a few different enemy models who come at you, but each has his own style of killing you. In the game you will also be fighting vehicles such as submarines, cars, and motorcycles. For vechs like motorcycles and cars you can just take the driver out . The gameplay is well done. When playing the game you will automatically be placed in a position where you cannot be injured, however you cannot hit your enemies there either. So what you must do is hold the bottom trigger when shooting (once you play you will see that there is no problem with this). There are four types of guns for you to choose from: Handgun, Machine Gun, Shotgun, Grenade launcher. The hand gun has infinite ammo, and to reload the gun you let go of the bottom trigger. The game is challenging and will have you dieing many times on your first play though, but you will be wanting more. The game is somewhat difficult and the bosses are tough, but it is worth it. The game includes two characters. You will be playing one man and the other will be on screen. The second guy does shoot however he never really helps you in any way. The point of him is if an additional player were to want to join the game. There are secret bonuses in this game. Some are good some are frustratingly difficult, but the most cool one is when you play as a an extra character. In this bonus you play though the same levels as your two main characters, but from this persons perspective. To sum it up Time Crisis 3 is a solid shooter from Namco and is very well put together. If you want the ultimate party game pick this up and a couple of light guns.
