time crisis 3 offers enough challenge and content to make it worth while.

User Rating: 8 | Time Crisis 3 (w/GunCon2) PS2
the good:great shaded and lightning effects.the game is fun with a gun con2 (or even the orginal).offers two player action plus another storyline called rescue mission. intense and fast paced makes it fun for awhile.

The bad: graphics are abit dated. game feels too easy with a controller while very punishing (but rewarding) with a guncon. gets repetitive and tiresome after multable retries.rescue mission is great but uses the same restart area thing from the first one (only you get continues which sucks)short arcade mode.

Time crisis is best played with a guncon in hand, because if you really want to experience time crisis to its fullest. you need a guncon(with another tv,ps2, and copy if you want 2P to have his.her own screen.)

the duck and shootthing works and is fun, though if you unfortunately end up losing all your continues, this systems starts to get tiresome, because youl constantly play the same levels over and over and over again (unless you keep dying and unlock free credit)so expect to see the game over screen alot only to find out that the arcade mode last only a hour and a half. but theres some satisfying feeling you get when you beaten the arcade with out seeing the game over screen on your first try. though when i did this, it was with the regular PS2 controller, which isnt as satisfying as with a guncon.

other then the unbelievably short (but expected because arcade games are short) arcade mode, once beaten, you get the bonus story mode called rescue mission. this shows the story in the perspective of alicia. this mode is alot longer then the arcade mode but thats because of its stupid decision of using the engine of the psone origanol. which is when you die, they restart you back to the begining the area your in. this mode is much longer but probally by 2 hours and half.

graphics are abit dated but not all that bad. the lightning and shaded is superb and the game run smoothly, though there is alot more jaggies then any other ps2 game i ever seen.plus since your often standing behind cover youll see some low res textures.

but dont get me wrong, i enjoyed playing time crisis and its one of my old favorites (when ever i see a time crisis,2,3,crisis zone, and 4 if have a temptation of inserting my quarters in it)its very intense, music is intense, and boy was it epic when then train tracks exploded and you shot enemys while hanging on for your dear life. time crisis 3 is avalable at gamestop at a low price, and the cashier might even give a guncon for an even lower price. this shouldnt be missed.
