Not as good as the movie, but not as bad as many movie to video game attempts.

I was pretty pleased to find this value game and was even more excited when I found out it acted as a prequel to the movie. This concept in general is interesting to me in gaming and it the storyline was pretty solid.

The game itself was more difficult than I imagined. Usually games that are based on movies, especially Disney movies don't seem all that difficult. That wasn't a problem here. In fact I actually struggles on a few parts within this game.

The good, The Bad, The Interesting –

The Good – The graphics are sharp and the soundtrack is great. If you like the movie you will like this game. In fact many characters form the movie make the transition into this title and do so very well. The gameplay itself is fun. It is nothing revolutionary, but you also don't get bored with it. It was a game that I pretty much kept in the system until I beat it.

The Bad – Levels are big and long. There is sometimes backtracking and in some cases your objective within levels isn't perfectly clear. You can pause and look at a map of the level and you have to do this on many occasions. Certain parts of the game seemed overly difficult. Sometimes this is not a problem, but in this case it was. That is because it wasn't levels that were hard it was interacting with the game that was tough. Simple tasks that you should easily be able to do were frustrating. It was almost like these were glitches within the game.

The Interesting – This title is a GBA title and the map that could only be seen when you paused the game was needed often. Throughout the game I was thinking how great of a game this would have been on the DS. Always have the map on one screen and the game on the other. That would have been a great help and improvement for this title.

Overall this game is worth a play. It is fun, but won't be a game that I play again. Once you get into it you want to beat it, but the long levels seem to make replaying it seem like less fun than the first time. Still it looks good and plays pretty well.
