Beautiful game with great graphics when considering it's age. It keeps the same strong, dark immersion as it's predecessors. It's one of those games that leaves a mark and a special taste, only found in few games that I've played. It's original, it builds on the darkness and creepiness of the previous games offering the player a little more freedom, being able to freely roam the city map after each mission, as well as offering the player the possibility to sell loot and buy gear, which further encourages taking as much as possible from every mission.
Graphics: 9 Great Graphics, perfect for the game's dark theme
Atmosphere: 10 - perfect master thief atmosphere
Story: 7.5 Great story, with some cute little twists, but not as good as that of Thief 1.
Sound: 9 There is not much music but it is ok, it's absence makes for an even better experience in this game and taking into consideration the magnificent sound effects it is just perfect.
Gameplay: 8 Same old Thief mechanics, left out the climbing arrows but offers an alternative with climbing gloves. Some extra gear added which I haven't used quite that much.
Dialogues: 8.5 Good dialogues, lovely dialects with the game factions, more of the same as in the previous installments.
A great game which I would recommend to anyone who wants to try the classic Thief 1 but find it's graphics too outdated.
