I'm baffled at the score this game gets. I just picked it up on Steam for 4 EUR, thinking I might just check out what the fuss was all about. I had played the first Witcher game, but was quite disappointed with the game-play.

Well, I still am. I'm only a couple of hours in, but combat mechanics with multiple enemies are still very clunky.

The "stealth" escape from the dungeon wasn't all that good. In fact, it's just faster to bash everyone's head in by standing in a doorway and clobbering whatever tries to get through. There's no incentive to stealth whatsoever.

Actually, I find movement in general to be clunky.

Also I cringe, when I have targetted an opponent, and pressing the down-key turns my back to the opponent instead of walking backwards...*shudder*

Lastly, I don't see the "mature" game everyone was talking about. What's mature about it, someone explain? Gratuitous sex and nudity is not a sign of maturity, rather the opposite. But maybe I forget that most gamers are still adolescents.

Dark Souls 2 is a 9/10, The Witcher 2 imo is only a 6,5/10...
