A Great Classic tribute to Beat em ups and a Cult Classic Film.
The Warriors is a 3D beat-em up based of a classic cult film that came out in the 70's. However this game sets up a back story and adds more of a lead up till the last few levels which tell the story from the film.
The story involves a big gang lord wants to take over New York City, so he invites every gang to a massive meeting. but it all brakes loose. its a simple but engaging story. The Warriors which is the gang you play as though the game is the main focus watching them grow their gang to become of the tougher gangs in new york keep their reputation as high as they can go.
The game play is simple and the controls work fine, its a beat em up so you learn combos to take down the bad dudes and around the game you pick up object to use as weapons like planks of wood, baseball bats and spray paint. along all the fighting you will be in charge of your fellow warriors so you can use warchief commands by telling them to scatter, wreck em all etc...
and you have some fun mini games like mugging poor souls, spray tagging and a few more down the track.
and if you get lonely their is a few mulitplayer options they are not really exciting but it is fun to play the single player story mode with a fellow warrior.
I enjoyed this game lots the only problem I could say with it is the graphics its very dull and gritty other than that its a great brawler on the go.
