Just like Pokémon Go, fans will be coming back for more within time to time

Pokémon Go might have been a success back in 2016 for trying something and being on mobile devices instead of being on a Nintendo console. The augmented reality game is a neat thing to see in a game to play on the go either heading towards work or a little walk around a county park, I more or less knew that other franchises would jump on board with the idea after the release of Pokémon Go and two years later we got a get an augmented reality game based on The Walking Dead.

As you immerses into the zombie apocalypse world you'll be your surrounding by fighting zombies or walkers which ever one you want to call them either in your home or streets or even travelling. It plays like an RPG styled game you'll be given a gun to shoot walkers and gain exp points to level up the higher you are the more content will be available to you. You'll also be teaming up with your favourite characters from the series as well, including Rick, Michonne, Daryl and many more by gaining cards which you can collect and level up for each character same goes with weapons and items as well, more cards you have, the quicker it'll be to level them up or use coins to upgrade them.

When it comes to gameplay when fighting against walkers you'll be teamed up with a character and a gun to shoot down walkers, you can do more critical damage to them by shooting them in the head which we've all seen in classic horror movies and video games. If you manage to take them all out you'll get a loot bag which will come with a mysterious card which can easily be any from character card to weapon card. You'll also need energy before entering each battle only requiring one energy, you can pick up coins which can be used to buy and upgrade your characters and weapons and also healing kits to restore your characters' health instead of waiting a few minutes to be fully back to health. The touch pad controls are easy to handle and very responsive when it comes to aiming and a little tap on your screen to shoot at the walkers, you can throw grenades as well which do a little damage, depending on how high the challenge is for each battle if you manage to defeat all the walkers you'll gain more rewards and exp. The higher challenges you'll gain more legendary cards and points to build from shelters, armoury, trading posts to warehouses.

Taking down hordes can be a challenge which can be from 3 - 5 rounds of fighting zombies are all easy to get through if you have the right weapon and level for your character giving you support. Once you've cleared a horde they'll be gone for a few hours, but will be back after 8 hours, meaning that you can come back to it a few hours later or the next day and a quick way to level up. Another thing you'll be seeing a lot is rescue missions if you manage to take down all the walkers and rescue them you can send them to the nearest building more people you rescue you'll gain more rewards and exp.

You can battle other raids in your area and help each other out by joining groups or firing up a flare for help and other players can come in and help you if needed. Looking at the graphics and visuals through googles maps is impressive as you see your own avatar across the map you'll find the nearest walker or mission in your area. The 3D effects are impressive on the walkers when looking at an augmented reality game either played using the graphic and visuals used from the TV series or using the AR your phone camera, kind of wished a little more detailed went into the walkers which would have been nice. There are a few bugs and glitches here and there, but are easily ignored as you are easily distracted by trying to collect new cards and complete missions gathering survivors is more or less the fun part about Our World more people you rescue at the nearest building the more exp you'll get and see how many people you've rescued in total in each building and helping others gaining more rewards.

The microtransactions part is something you may want to be aware of most mobile games are like that these days. You can easily avoid all the microtransactions and play the game as little as 30 minutes and come back to it an hour or so later, wouldn't say that it's the best game based on an augmented reality game based on zombies, it's a decent game to come back to from to time to time it's worth the free download to play especially if you are a fan of the series however, some missions can feel a little repetitive. Hopefully they'll be more updates in the future, including new content added from both the TV series and comics.
