A great game with addictive puzzles. Ideal for fans of Broken Sword and Dreamfall.

User Rating: 9 | The Testament of Sherlock Holmes PC
Considering there is a shortage of decent full length point and click adventure games, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes comes as a pleasant surprise as it is a very good game with (mostly) great addictive puzzles. The acting is above par and the story is original and engaging.
You are able to choose between 3 different viewpoints when playing the game which helps to personize your playing style.
You can also switch between Holmes and Watson in one level which is a great feature but like so many great elements in this game is underused.
I found the 'deduction board' and 'autopsy' elements to be my favourites but both are underused. The music is very atmospheric and the lush strings really give the game a certain gravitas.
It's great to visit areas of Victorian London such as Whitechapel and there some very 'interesting' characters that you meet.
The only real negative for me however was the prologue and recurring sections that feature children which seems pointless as they are relating the story which features some very mature themes.
Overall I would highly recommend this game for fans of titles such as Broken Sword and Dreamfall.
