Spongebob SquarePants is back with another exciting undersea adventure!
In terms of difficulty, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie is extremely easy to play. There are a few difficult spots however, where you have to test out all of Spongebob's moves in order to figure out which one will help you get through. For example, in the very first level, you come upon a stack of bricks that you can't get past, and no other way to go. It took a while to figure out that you have to press the R button on the Game Boy Advance to get Spongebob and Patrick on their marks and ready to run really fast through the bricks. After you master that, however, the controls are simple and easy.
The game looks nice, as the undersea environment is colorful and the worlds Spongebob must travel through are huge. There is often more than one way to go, so you can pick and choose your route and find different enemies and things to collect on each. The music has a tropical feel to it, and a happy tune plays throughout the game. The characters don't really have voices (all of their dialogue is written for the player to read) but Spongebob does make a funny "oof" noise each time he jumps.
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie is an entertaining choice for Spongebob fans as well as people who have never seen the show before. The game enjoyable and fairly easy, and will keep you busy for hours.
