This game was not intended to be played by teenagers or adults. It is, however a great game for my kids. I beat it in just a few hours so that I could help the kids out if the got stuck. They are enjoying it very much. The game follows the movie for the most part so if you've seen the movie you should pretty much be able to get through the game. I have noticed a couple things in the game that were in the books but not the movie and that was a nice touch. The game play is something similar to the old side-scrolling RP games - go here, look at that and remember where it was for later, go there and pick something up to use elsewhere, wander over in that direction to talk to someone so that you can now go get something else... You get the idea. Some simple puzzle solving is involved and there is a lot of running around. The fighting/action scenes leave a little to be desired. The graphics look nice but are not over the top so that you don't need a gaming rig to run the game.
All in all, I'm glad I got the game for my kids, but I would not buy it for myself.
