Exactly what I expected.

User Rating: 8.2 | The Sims GC
Finally, the extravagent PC game has made it's move to the Gamecube Console. This has extremely helped out Nintendo's third party strength, which is in an extreme recession.

The Sims for Gamecube features everything that you could want out of a first installment transfer from a PC series. It has easy to use controls, with decent graphics. Along with a new addition to the Sims series, a story mode. Now it isn't exactly the hardest story. Nor is it the type of story that leaves a gamer feeling fulfilled with beating it. But it is a good addition to The Sims series, and with a few minor adjustments, future installments to the console will be quite successful. Now it's time to stop focussing on the future, and look at the present.

Exactly why should the gamer go through story mode? You can unlock clothing accessories, hair styles, social interactions, a crime career path, and furnishings for your wonderful abode. Now the goals needed to get these items are not exactly difficult, but will require the user to go through it once, twice, maybe even three times.

Fundamentally, this game is quite sound. It has decent graphics when compared with it's PC cousin, and the sound and music isn't half bad either. There are noticeable glitches, as in not being able to access Lot 4. But this is no big deal. The clothing diversity isn't the finest, but at least the ability to through every seperate piece and decided what your Sim will wear, rather Only having three different options as seen with the PC.

Overall, The Sims for GC is quite the experience. For those with a GC and no PC, it is necessary to be owned. It provides many hours of fun, and is a game that just about anybody can enjoy. I, myself, was quite content with this game, and I think it's the start of something great.
