I remember picking up The Sims when I was no older than ten, maybe eleven. At which point I was completely hooked on the life simulation game that took the World by storm. When I had learned that Expansions were being released it was possibly the best part of my twelve year old (then at least) life! I stopped playing them when The Sims 2 came out unfortunately. I played The Sims 2 once and just cringed at The Sims graphics and facial and attirical limits.
Then in ASDA this little gem caught my eye! The Sims Complete Collection? I thought whilst my inner 'The Sims' addict giggles with glee. I threw Grand Theft Auto San Andreas back onto the shelf as I instead bought this.
From the moment I heard the memorable loading music to a point where I may have embarassingly cried after listening to the 'Sad Piano Music' from the build&buy menues of The Sims I was attacked by wave after wave of nostalgia.
In conclusion if you think yourself a Sims fan and own all of The Sims 2 games to date but have never played The Sims I don't think you would appreciate this game fully. But if you were one of billions of people to own The Sims, Unleased, House Party, On Holiday, Hot Date, Makin Magic, Superstar or livin large then this really will be worth the money and effort to track down this jewel and add it to the nostalgic collection of games on 'The Golden Years Shelf' next to such games as Super Mario Bros 3, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon and Dynasty Warriors.
