The Sims 4 : Is It Good?

User Rating: 7 | The Sims 4 XONE

The Sims 4, released back in 2014 for PC and Mac and PS4 and Xbox One in 2017 *HOLY SH*T* is the fourth installment in The Sims franchise. You can build a house and make a family. Simple. But you can be very creative with your Sims. I for one wasn't creative what so ever so I decided to make myself because my creativity was absolute bollocks that day. Anyways I got The Sims 4 for Xbox One on Christmas of 2017 and I loved it, I built a house, started a family and had a great time. But over time I got bored because I only had the base game, so when my boyfriend got me a 50 Quid gift card for my Xbox I used it to buy City Living and Cool Kitchen Stuff. 2 pretty cool packs in my opinion.

When you first start the game with only one sim, you only have a limited amount of Simoleons, the in-game currency used for build/buy mode and other things. So you have to choose wisely on what to get when building your house. Depending on the number of sims you have in the household affects how much starting cash you have. So what I did was I built a small starter home worth about 18,000 Simoleons. You have neighbors, so after a while, they will start greeting you. Now if this is your first time playing The Sims then you won't understand what the sims are saying. It's not gibberish, they are speaking "Simlish". The in-game language spoken and sung in the game.

In the game, you can get a job. This will earn you more money for later on. In the base game, you can become a painter, a secret agent, an astronaut, etc. Different jobs give different amounts of cash. When you get enough cash you can expand your house and buy new things. You can make a family and have that family go on for generations too!

In my opinion, the building part is the best part of the game, although you might not build that well at the start, you can watch building tutorials on YouTube. I recommend "The Builders Bibles" by lilsimsie. Her series is a great way to learn how to build.

This game deserves a 7 out of 10
