The Sims 3 Island Paradise delivers a fresh experience, similar to the popular PS2 Sims 2 Castaways.

Having your own boathouse can be quite entertaining, as well as exploring the depths of the sea, coming across treasure as well as various marine animals. Desert islands are filled with fun little things to explore, such as the pirate's map treasure hunt, monkeys, coconuts and others! Overall, this expansions adds a lot of elements from the PS2 Sims 2 Castaways, but also makes it wholly it's own, with it's diverse selection of things you can do outside of the whole "stranded on an island" concept. If you love exploring and finding new things to do, you'll love this expansion. If you're more of a stay at home type of Sim, stay away from this title.
On another note, the new interactions are hilarious and some are surprising. I found myself enjoying the new antics the Sims can get themselves into the more I played. The introduction of the new skills and new traits is a fantastic idea, although some of the life goals could of been better.
