A good complement to Strangetown in Sims 2 (PC).

My friend recommended me not to play that game. I'm glad I did not listen to her. Sure, it doesn't replace Sims 2 (PC) but, it is a good complement to the game. For example, my character in the DS version looked like a manga (which is not possible in Sims 2 (PC)). It also could run an hotel, which is not possible in the original game, etc.

The setting was fun, it made me understand better the Strangetown concept. The mini-scenario was amusing, I liked the falloutish feel to it (need nuclear rods for the furnace) and the mix with X-file (aliens invasions).

Characters were likeable and I wanted to learn all their little secrets.

Of course, the game was really repetitive, but it didn't bug me too much, surprisingly. Everyday, I felt like checking my hotel to see if everything was all right.

I enjoyed the creative options such as painting and creating your own cellphone music, although, I wished we could save more of our creations in the game (so little memory in there, how come?)

Skills are found in random places at particular times of the week and this can be quite annoying if you need to wait a week to get them. But at the same time, it prevents you to finish the game too fast.

You should save in more than one slot however, because, like every Sim games, it is broken. I never was able to finish it because my game got totally wrong: it would freeze whenever I opened the inventory.

It is also annoying that you can't seem to be able to push furniture on the wall. So, you often end up with a bed right in the middle of the place.

Customers who keep loosing their furniture in the desert are annoying too.

But there are some interesting unique objects that you can buy every month.

So, it's a game to try for Sim fans, but save in more than one slot because you never know when it will bug you.
