The Sims 2: Pets is fun, but it suffers from far to many glitches and unbalanced gameplay.

User Rating: 6.5 | The Sims 2: Pets PS2
The Sims 2: Pets was an instant hit in our household when we got it and it still is today. It's one of those games that you can enjoy with the whole family, even with the lack of multiplayer. But even though it's fun, It is flawed in many areas. First of all, the focus on the pets largely unbalances the game. In The Sims 2 you didn't have to look after pets, which made it considerably more fun since you only had one thing to focus on; your sim. Putting the pet aspect in unbalances the game, and makes it more frantic and stressful to play. Also, The Sims 2: Pets inherits the glitches from the previous entry in the series. You'll see some of the old glitches, like the trash can outside your home dissapearing or not working anymore, and some new ones, like the newspaper sticking to your hand. The Sims 2: Pets did some things right though. You now have more land to build your house on, and it's even easier to swith between characters. Even though the pets are more of a hassle, it's incredibly fun to make them. Overall, The Sims 2: Pets is a love/hate game. The more you fall in love with it, the more you'll start to see the inexcusable amount of flaws in it.
