EA should be embarrassed. Is the publishing date of 2007 a misprint and this game was actually made in 1997?

Being a huge "Lost" fan, was excited about the concept of simulating being stranded on a deserted island and eking out a living. But within seconds of turing the game on I was disappointed. The graphics are dated, especially on the character modelling. Forget about going back to Gamecube , I am talking about Nintendo 64 graphics here.
The characther modelling options are very limited, a handful of choices for clothing, accessories, hairstyles. I tried to make a "Hurley" Sim but the character modeling was too restrictive.
I bought this on the Wii thinking that since the Wii is a "next gen" system the graphics would be better than the PS2,now I am not too sure.
Also, there are no cinematic scenes. After making your SIMs, the shipwreck part is a series of snapshots, detailing how the SIMs came to the island, this is done in about only 5 still pictures. I am beginning to think that the publishing date of 2007 is a misprint and this game was actually made in 1997.
The controls can be tricky using the nunchuck to scroll through action menus, - at the last moment it will change and your SIM will be doing something wrong, such as sitting down instead of making the fire. Also things like spear fishing actions make no sense.
Despite this, I am going to give the game a chance. I think it is growing on me.
