A must buy, if you haven´t got any other Silent Hill games then Silent Hill 1

Silent Hill 2
In Silent Hill 2, you plays as James Sunderland, he as gotten a letter for his from his dead wife Mary. In the letter, she says that she´s waiting for James in thier special place in Silent Hill. Shortly after ariveing in Silent Hill, James notices that something has gone seriously wrong. There are monsters eveywhere and other things.
tells you on the map which doors that´s locked, where the puzzles are and other things.
The game is about 10 hours during the first play, but there are around 5 endings to get so you´ll return to the game a couple of times.
Graphicly the game is beautiful, The CG cut scenes runs very smoth and both characters and backgrounds looks great. The game is almost as pretty during the game and there isin´t a single drop in the frame rate.
The music is very creppy in SH2, and the sound effects are very creppy. Eveytime you hear a noise you´ll get freaked out, until you´ll locate where the sound comes from. But otherwise you´ll get nervous eveytime you´ll hear a scary noise. The voice acting is more to awkward writing than to poor acting, but the voices suits the characters nicely.
SH2 has some bad sides. While the story makes more sense than SH1, it dosen´t continue where SH1 left off and that´sa disapointmnet for eveyone that has played SH1, since SH1 left you with a feeling to want more. That i wanna konw why they did this and that. is also gone in SH1, many people who play this game wil probaly say: Oh, that's what it's all about" in the end. But otherwise the story is really great. You´ll never trust anyone you´ll meet since the are noticeably mentally unbalanced.
SH2 is a great game, while it´s not as great as SH1, SH2 is still a great game that SH fans wanna cheack out.

Silent Hill 3
SH3 focuses on a teenage girl named Heather. She´s waking up in a mall(not in Silent Hill) where she escapes from detective named Douglas. But she finds out that the mall is infested with monsters and eveyone is gone. Heather needs a answer to what is going on, but there´s no one left to tell her, now she must survive and escape.
SH3 is more focused on combat, while you´ll stil explore a closed environment looking for clues, keys or notes, anything that help´s you getting on to the next section.
The games story is really intersting and makes a refence to SH1. like in SH1 you´ll wake up in the mall (a cafe in SH1) from a dream where you died (although you´ll get to the dream level later in the game where you survive). Also it continues from where SH1 left so SH fans are gonna like the story.
SH3 is about 20 hours long. And your quest dosen´t end after the mall, you´ll get to Silent Hill (new Silent Hill) and you´ll vist the lovely Lake Side amusement park again. There are about 3 endings in the game, which may disapoint some, since the 2 other games had 5 endings
The graphics in SH3 is better than SH2 eveything looks extremely detailed and once again, the frame rate never drops.
The game is using the games backgrounds as music, which makes the tunes very creppy, and did you love the scary noise from SH2? Well they are back!. The voices suits the characters nicely, though they don´t sound believable at times and some of the sound effects are reused from SH2.
SH3 is the best SH3 ever made since SH1. It´s very scary and fans are sure to enjoy this game very much.

Silent Hill 4: The Room
SH4 is a claustrophobic entry to the series. The game revovles around Henry Townshed. He´s trapped in his aparment when he discovers a hole in his bathroom. The hole get´s bigger and bigger and it leads to a driffent locations including a subway.
The gameplay has been completely changed. While your in Henry´s room (302) you move him in first person. At room 302, you can look through window and take a look as South Ashfield (you don´t get to Silet Hill), or you can test the doorknob and look outside on who´s knocking on the door and other things.
The third person sections has been changed, you´ll select your items in real time and you don´t have a flashligt or radio, but you´ll still solve puzzles and find keys. There are some problems with the gameplay however. You can only hold 10 items (you can store items and weapons in a item box, just like Resident Evil) and if you collect 2 of the same item (like handgun ammo and health drinks.) the item requries a seprate space making it all very stupid. The puzzles are also easy to get past. Also the combat tends to evovle into a bug-crushing simulations since you must step on evey emeny before they are dead.
Storywise it´s good but have some problems. Henry dosen´t have any emotions, he´s just a bystander while eveything evoles around him, but the story defently have some twists to keep the story intersting.

The voice work in the game is uninspired but solid, with the exception of Henry himself, who has an incredibly milquetoast delivery and seems to never get emotional about anything. The haunting main theme is one of the only pieces of music you'll ever hear in the game, and the times that it plays are few and far between. That's fitting, though, for a horror game that seeks to create mood through subtle sounds in the environment rather than through music.
SH4 is the weakset game in the entire SH series, it can never be as great as the other SH games, but it is still a good game neverless.

This limited edition has some flaws too. The collection dosen´t include Silent Hill 1, which is a shame since SH3 is connected to SH1. and it dosen´t inclue the driector´s cut (restless dreams) of SH2 either.
Overall Silent Hill Collection is a nice treat to those who don´t have a Silent Hill game, but it´s a shame it dosen´t include the first SH game. It´s still a great limited edition though.
