Too much of too little

What can I say about this tedious mini economics game ? The game itself has got a lot of things that Stronghold 2 should have had.

Unfortunately, it lacks a few important ones. The battles can be quite entertaining but only after a couple of hours, and a couple of armies formed. Then you can introduce some tactics, but only when playing against AI. All your enemies can see your troop movements so no human player would be foolish enough to get trapped, or leave a county unattended when your army is overlooking it; so that's where the fun ends. If your enemy sees you're stronger, then there is no point in attacking, and you can't attack because he's fortified, and that goes on and on and on...

No way of camouflage, no way of sneaking up, if you start well you're going to win, and that is all really.

That aside, the campaign is really fun to play, and can take many hours to complete it. Starting missions aren't much fun, but when you get to the latter stages it gets better. Rushing to build your cannons and going after the fortifications while your other army prevents the enemy's general from reinforcing their castle is awesome, but i believe that they could have done a much better job. And they should have.
