Interesting game for those into modern war.

I read the previous reviewer's complaint on slow play and hang up. Perhaps he forgot to restart his computer. The game also played poorly on mine until I restarted, and then I had no problems. Reviewing the game is simple: If you like the Close Combat angine, and have an interest in modern war, you'll enjoy the game.

The visuals are typical CC, the play is more of the same. The battles are not very challenging, but then the Iraqis we faced were often poor fighters. The game ships with an editor, so you can set up almost any encounter you like, and hence can manufacture tougher battles. There's about 25-30 scenarios on the ROM, and a ton of units, from Abrams to T-80sd (the Iraqis didn't have any of those, but they look cool anyway).

No a bad game. The real travesty is GS's non-existant PR campaign, and Gamespot's non-coverage.
